Terrific Places of Interest

The farm is not the only beautiful place to visit in the area. This particular part of Mpumalanga is full of interesting and unusual places. We’re close to the Kruger National Park – Africa’s largest game park. Other areas of outstanding natural beauty are God’s Window and Blyde River Canyon, Sudwala Caves, Bourke’s Luck Pot Holes and Pilgrim’s Rest.

Good to Know:

  • All of these attractions are less than a two hour drive from the farm.
  • Almost a million people visit the Park every year and it is regarded as one of the best game reserves in the world. You can day trip in your own vehicle.
  • Sudwala are the oldest caves known to mankind and offer guided tours
  • God's Window has a breath taking view out to the east - looking out over the Lowveld with the Kruger Park on the horizon.
  • Pilgrim's Rest the old gold diggers town, has been preserved in its original state and now operates as a tourist destination. Steeped in history, it is great for dining and shopping.
  • For essentials, the town of Lydenburg is a short drive away and has a great cycling shop and many other convenience stores.
  • Close by is the charming village of Dullstroom with its road-side restaurants and proliferation of shops.
